Favourite Christmas Animal at As You Like It!

Over at As You Like It our new Challenge is Favourite Christmas animal. I chose the penguin and what is more beautiful than a Whimsy penguin?

I coloured up this beautiful digi stamp (this is the October Marker Class at Kit and Clowder and I really recommend you check it out as Alyce takes you through drawing the patterns on the pillows and blanket :-)

Aww, look at that cute mouse too! I love this stamp!!!!

Hope you can join us.

Rubber or digis at As You LIke It

For the next couple of weeks our theme at As You Like It is rubber or digi stamps. I'm fond of both but I'm having real issues with getting inky finger prints everywhere at the moment so I'm thinking for me the digi stamp is less traumatic!

This was a Kit and Clowder class from earlier this year. I loved this one :-)

Rainbow or monochrome at As You Like It

Over at As You Like It the challenge for the next two weeks is Rainbow or Monochrome. I'll be honest, I couldn't decide which to go for because I'm fond of both. I do, however, slightly favour the monochrome look as it gives a cute vintage look to a project.

I've sneaked in a tiny splash of red because I'm totally unable to follow a brief ;-)

Hope you get chance to join us xxx

Autumn or Halloween Colours at As You Like It

So our challenge at As You Like It for the next two weeks is Autumn or Halloween colours. Now, I love Autumn but I LOVE Halloween! All things Halloween - particularly all the purples and black :-)

I coloured up this Kit and Clowder class - I just love this little witch.

I hope that you can join us for this challenge - what's not to love?

Pink Ink Designs Unicorn or Horse

I bought this Pink Ink Designs Unicorn or Horse stamp yesterday and couldn't resist having a quick play before getting on with the housework ;-)

It's a bit different for me - I very rarely get the distress inks out these days but I had an idea in my head and that was it!  I think the technique of dabbing white paint (gesso in my case) through a circle mask is called bokeh - possibly!

I really want to finish it now but should get on with proper big girls jobs ;-) Not sure whether to stamp swirls around the edge or leave it alone!

I'm really quite taken with this stamp - I love it when I'm reminded why I love crafting!!

Hugs xxx

I've finished the card - I turned it into an easel with one of my very favourite sentiments :-)

CAS or Frilly at As You LIke It!

I'm super excited/nervous today! I have been asked by Annette and Squirrel to join the fabulous As You Like It Challenge team :-) I said no a few times due to fear and then got a grip and said yes. lol! I think they're kind of used to me being a nut job!

The challenge for the next couple of weeks is CAS or Frilly.  I  like to do both to be honest but for really special occasions, particularly when it's taken me an age to colour something, I go with CAS :-)

This is a beautiful image available at Kit and Clowder with the September Marker Class.

I hope that you get the opportunity to join us. Hugs xx

More from the Bauble Bears!

Another Bauble Bear card from LOTV this morning.

It's Friday at last - phew! That was one crazy week. I am on the verge of finishing the painting :-)

Bauble Bears!

I'm knee deep in decorating at the moment but I've taken a crafting break to try out these new Bauble Bear stamps from Lili of the Valley :-) (I'm also taking a break because whilst standing on a buffet to hang some blinds I lost balance, went flying, and am in too much pain to paint!!)

This bauble comes with 3 other baubles in which are cute bears and lots of sentiments. The Merry Christmas stamps are on a separate sheet of words :-)

Crafting is a way safer past time than decorating! Painting skirting boards goes on forever :-( I thought I might get away with one coat but after closer inspection I'm afraid that is so not happening! Onwards and upwards ;-)

Snow Day!

I'm wilting!  To cheer myself up I have immersed myself in Christmas card making :-) Christmas cards are my favourite crafty make - it's just an excuse to go mad with glitter, ribbon and all manner of loveliness ;-)

This is another card from the Lili of the Valley Hochanda show from the Vintage stamp set.

Happy Snowman :-)

Good morning! It's a bit cooler out today - I'm not sure it will last :-( It's definitely not snowman weather!  Today's card was one I made for the recent Lili of the Valley Hochanda shows. It's great that some LOTV images are once again available as rubber stamps.

I used Craftwork Cards papers - I am absolutely gutted that this fabulous company have gone out of business :-(

Only two weeks till the end of term - yippeeeeee! Can't wait. Then we have to buy a mountain of uniform for High School - eeeek! xx

Bad blogger and beautiful babies x

I am officially a rubbish blogger. I had the best of intentions to keep up this year but have failed miserably. I need extra hours in my day! It isn't even that I haven't made any cards - I've just failed to get them on here. Must try harder.

Ok, the good news is that I got the Lili of the Valley new release 'New Beginnings' to play with :-) This little cutie is aptly names Polka Dots and I love her :-) (or him)!

I absolutely love the image in these muted vintage tones. The papers are from the Sara Signature Rustic Wedding Collection from Crafter's Companion.

I went for a more modern look with my second card.

The papers I've used here are also from Lili of the Valley. I love digi papers - they mean I can use and not 'save' my favourite papers!!

Thank you for visiting me! Apologies for being super slack. Hugs, Jayne xxx

Moonlit Solstice by Molly Harrison

I'm taking part in the 'Make a Christmas Card Every Week' facebook challenge. I really am determined to get organised this year. Ok, so I said that last year and that didn't turn out so well, but the FB challenge is good at keeping me focused!

Today I have a card made using a Kit and Clowder colouring class.
I have to say, I love this Molly Harrison image and I might just colour it up again in different colours. My hand has been much better lately, touch wood, and I'm getting more colouring done.

I can't believe it's snowing again!!! What's going on?

Garden Treasures

I've used some pretty Hunkydory papers from the Garden Treasures collection and teamed them up with some of their co-ordinating stamps. Super quick card :-)
I just love this collection - the papers are so pretty.

Unicorn 'Princess'

My girls are both unicorn crazy and I knew as soon as I saw this image (Princess) from Lili of the Valley it would be a huge hit!
I love the new LOTV release and am hoping to get time to colour up the new fairies.

I'm struggling to fill in a form and am currently employing numerous avoidance tactics which are reminding me of 'revising' for my A-Levels!!! Maybe I'll have another go - after I've made a cuppa ;-) Jayne xx

Tuesday 6 March 2018

Spring has sprung!

Today's card features new stamps from Hunkydory :-) The are the Arranged with Love and Bright and Beautiful stamp sets that co-ordinate with the Garden Treasure papercraft collection.

I am super chuffed with my hand drawn tree - love that the Kit and Clowder classes continually come to the rescue ;-)

I have to confess that I am rather tempted to go for the papercraft kit too - eek!

Lovely Lili of the Valley

Today I have the soon to be released 'Lovely' from Lili of the Valley.

I really love these new images. For the moment the new images will be released as digis and not rubber stamps.

It's a Spring Thing!

Goodness, it's March already!!! Can't believe I haven't posted since January :-( It's a very long story featuring care home drama and many hours on the phone to Social Services. However, it was worth all the hours on wrangling on the phone as my Gran is now in a very nice care home :-)

This month's Squirrel 'Not so Random Challenge' is a Spring Thing. Think chicks, bunnies and spring colours - it's a fairly flexible topic! I finally finished a Kit and Clowder class and thought the colours were perfect. So this is my offering.

I'm knee deep in sample making but my poorly hands are really slowing me down. If anyone has any suggestions to remedy trigger finger I would be grateful for advice.

Saturday 20 January 2018

Finally cracked my Altenew stamps!

I've had these stamps for well over a year and had only tried them once - which didn't go well - so they've been in a box since then! I finally hit pinterest last week and worked them out and now I love them :-)
The stamps are the Peony Bouquet set and I used the Red Cosmos ink set.

Gnomey Christmas!

I'm playing along with the Make a Christmas Card Every Week Facebook challenge - last year my Christmas crafting got off to a great start and then dwindled :-( I had to buy cards - shhh, tell no one! lol!

This one's a little bit crackers really but it really cheered me up.
The stamps are from Creative Expressions and the die is the Silver Birch Tree from Sue Wilson. I just love red and black - it shouts at you :-)

Jasmine Magazine

Today I have the soon to be released Jasmine Magazine from LOTV.
I teamed her up with some of the lovely pink polka dot paper from Hunkydory.

Jasmine Glam

Over on the LOTV fb page we are having a 'Something New' challenge. All you need to do is to head over and submit an LOTV card featuring something new - new home, new baby, new craft stash. You can find the challenge here. My something new is this 'Jasmine Glam' stamp which is due to be released at LOTV on the 15th January.
I've used some Hunkydory polka dot paper to match her dress!
I love her :-)

Hope you've had a great start to the year. Jayne xx

Birthday Girl with Birthday Bears

I can't work out why this one never made it onto my blog so it's a case of better late than never! I made this using the totally fabulous Birthday Bears from Lili of The Valley. I really wanted to get the rubber stamps in the sale as I only have the digis but I missed them :-( I shall have to save my pennies!
They are perfect for a super quick card - I love them :-)

Celebrate with Squirrel's Not So Random Challenge

Oooh, I truly sucked at blogging last year! This year I am starting as I mean to go on - honest!

Squirrel has resurrected her Not So Random Challenge and we are starting with something easy. Until 28th February we would like to see cards for any celebration.

I haven't crafted for a little while so was glad for a boot in the right direction! I've used the scrumptious Stampingbella 'Tiny Townie Garden Girl Poppy'.
I don't think I've coloured this up before but I loved her. I think I might treat myself to another of the flowergirl stamps :-)
If you'd like to join the challenge hop on over to Squirrel's blog.
