Traditional Christmas Colours over at the Crafty Little Fairies.

Ok, this week we want to see Christmas cards made in reds and green. Please can I also remind you that we would also like you to use a stamped or digi image. :)

I've gone for my new favourite stamp 'Snow Family' from LOTV given to me by the scrumptious Squirrel :D

I will hopefully be back at some point to finish the post but both my cherubs are off colour at the mo and the baby has vaccinations today :(

Hugs to all, Jayne xx

Festive Trimmings!

This is my first card using the yummy 'Festive Trimmings' collection which is a brand new release over at Nitwit Collections. Lots of soft greens and red - a nice twist to the traditional Christmas colours. I've teamed it with the 'Bella with sledge' stamp from Wild Rose Studio.
I love, love, love the red gingham paper! I've used a new snowflake die (Joy Crafts - Winter Wishes) and my favourite Christmas Tree die (Snow covered Stacker Tree from Dee's Distinctively).
Half way through colouring the image two of my grey copics ran out of steam! Disaster :( I'll have to manage without them for a bit as I can't visit Cult Pens without spending a fortune!!!

Hope that you're having a great week! Big hugs, Jayne xxx

A Little Bit Crafty 'Sparkle and Shine' mid-way reminder!

Over at the A Little Bit Crafty challenge blog this month we are hosting a 'sparkle and shine' challenge. How fabulous is that? Just my cup of tea! So here's my mid-way reminder:
I made this using the beautiful LOTV 'snow family' stamp sent to me by the very lovely Squirrel. :D Isn't it just the cutest image? It's been on my 'wish list' for ages and I was super giddy when it arrived! Thank you lovely, but crackers, lady!!

I've also used the new 'Hootie Holidays' papers from NitWit Collection. How cute are those little owls sat on the fence :D The papers are just the most delicious mix of pinks, greens and white with a sprinkling of owl cuteness!

Cards inspired by a Song over at the Crafty Little Fairies!

So this week over at the Crafty Little Fairies we are asking that you make a card inspired by a song. Easy peasy :D I've gone for 'Angel' by Aerosmith.
This is one of my favourite LOTV stamps - isn't she just delish?
I've used the Holiday Bouquet paper collection from NitWit Collections as the soft pinks and greens are just perfect for that subtle hint of colour. I've used the Spellbinders build a snowflake three die set along with a die-namics flourish but otherwise have kept it really simple (for me!).

This week we are sponsored by Iva Nova Chest and the Ribbon Girl - how cool is that? What more incentive do you need to enter? Looking forward to seeing all the entries this week :D

I'm back tomorrow with a Little Bit Crafty mid-way reminder using the brand new NitWit collection 'Hootie Holidays' - which is more yummy pinks and greens.

Hope you are doing well and having a great week. Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

Land Ho!

This is the card I made for my daughter's friend Lois who had her birthday party on Friday. It was a 'disco party' at a playgym and everyone had a fab time:)

The papers are from the NitWit Collections Land Ho collection, which is, as I mentioned in my last post, my absolute favourite collection of papers. There is something about making pirate cards that appeals to my inner 7 year old!!!!

I'm very hazy on the specific details of what I used as Isis is still not sleeping through the night and I feel like the walking dead!! This is what I think I used (so sorry!):
NitWit Collections - Land Ho Collection
Whimsy stamps - banner Pennant die
Magnolia pirate
Do crafts - Build a Scene - Nautical
Creative Expressions - Glass Bottle
Sizzix - Blackboard Blues alphabet
My Dad bought me the shells from Filey :)

The plan is to have an early night. I've just finished a mountain of ironing and now I'm shattered. The good news is that I lost 2lbs this week - yippee. At last I'm going in the right direction.

Thank you for stopping by; have a great week, hugs Jayne xxx

Friends Forever

I made this card for a very dear friend who was an enormous source of support through my very stressful pregnancy! I'm super lucky to have her in my life - and she sent me an LOTV stamp last week - what more could you ask of a friend? :D

I haven't used my Magnolia stamps for an absolute age and after colouring this I decided to colour some more! I think I got myself into a lazy crafty rut so I'm trying to use different styles of stamp for a bit of variety. I used the delicious papers from the NitWits Romance and Roses collection again. The colours are just scrummy :D

I'll hopefully be back later in the week with a pirate card for my daughter's friend Lois. I've used the Land Ho collection of papers which thankfully survived the computer virus we had a few months ago. Now I know I say a lot of papers are my favourite but the Land Ho collection really IS my favourite. Of all time! I'm off to find some shells to put the finishing touches to the card. Hope you have a great eveing and thank you so much for stopping by. Big hugs, Jayne xx

Food For Thought over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog!

Being on a diet, food seems to be constantly on my mind! I stuck to healthy food for the card and think that if were to stick to healthy food on my diet I might actually start losing some weight! Hey ho!

Anyhoo, this is my offering for the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog 'Food For Thought' Challenge:
I just LOVE this stamp set (Joanna Sheen, Country Kitchen 'Plum and Cherry Jam' :D It's not normally the sort of thing that I'd go for but it's great to colour and looks sort of olde worlde!!! The papers are a mix of the Royal Hoticultural Society and Jane Shasky Joanna Sheen CDs. I added the huge purple bow 'cos I just couldn't resist :D

There is a £15 Joanna Sheen voucher for the randomly selected winner - all you have to do to be eligible is to use a Joanna Sheen image on your card. I hope that you get the opportunity to join us this fortnight. Hugs, Jayne xx

Sparkle and Shine over at A Little Bit Crafty!

This month over at A Little Bit Crafty we want to see some creations featuring sparkle and shine. Now, that's my kinda challenge! We are sponsored by Pink Gem Designs and I have used one of their digis called Angel Jodie and coloured her with copics. Apologies for the photo, this was the last one taken before the camera completely died. I now have a new camera chosen for the very technical reason that it was purple!! My husband despairs!

I have used the Merry and Bright collection from NitWits - I love the paint chips with the sentiments on - what a genius idea! The holly, tree and presents are all part of the kit and make fabulous little embellishments. Indigo loves these papers and wants to give Isis this card for her first Christmas :D Poor Isis had her second round of vaccinations on Monday and has been grizzly ever since. We're just not used to her being glum - she's usually such a bundle of beautiful smiles and cheery gurgles!

We had a fabulous day yesterday. We went to the Royal Armouries and saw all the armour from across the ages. Indigo, who was dressed as a super scary witch, loved seeing Henry VIII's armour. She's into history at the mo and loves the story of Henry chopping off his wives heads!! Gotta love being 6! We then carved the most enormous pumpkin :D

I hope you find time to join us this month - we love seeing your stunning creations. Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx
