Monochrome over at Lili's Little Fairies!

A quick post to let you know that we've gone all monochromatic over at the Fairies this week! We'd like to see you make cards using shades of one colour. This is my speedy effort:
I've used the slightly smaller of the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals for the card base. I coloured the image in copics in shades of brown and THEN realised I had not one paper to go with it! Duh! I found this paper on the Venetian Debbi Moore CD. I've also used the pretty Memory Box heart dies.
The only rules are to stick to the challenge topic and use a Lili of the Valley image - what could be easier?

Our sponsor this week is the amazing Teresa of MY CRAFTY HEART
with a £10 store voucher

I think I may be getting to the point of scheduling posts and going off on maternity leave! Bump is due early August and, at the moment,  I'm either in pain or asleep! We still can't agree on a girl's name and I have been banned from Talulah and Buttercup. I can see a heated debate on the horizon  . . . . . Big hugs, Jayne xx

Loving those Meece!

Ahhh, this has to be my favourite House Mouse image ever! I made this card for a special blogging buddy who has worked hard at keeping me sane throughout the nightmare that has been this pregnancy. Anyone who is willing to behave crazier than me to make me feel sane is obviously friendship gold!
I went a little bit OTT with this one but because I'm making far fewer cards at the mo every time I do make one I feel an urge to cover it with embellies!!!!
I love this Spellbinder set of Grand Decorative Ovals - they are just all super scrummy! The image is from the 'Crocus' set of House Mouse stamps which can be bought from Joanna Sheen here. The La La Land banner die can also be found at Sheenie Towers. The papers are a Nitwits Collections - I think it's called promises - it's one of the many collections I lost when the computer died. Sob.

So, that's me for today. The weather here has been much cooler and it's bliss. My legs and feet are still swollen, I'm still, therefore, walking like a mad woman but at least I got some sleep last night! Big hugs, Jayne xx

Die-ing for it! A Little Bit Crafty mid-way reminder!

A quick reminder that over at the A Little Bit Crafty Challenge Blog we want to see projects using lots of dies!
The stamp is 'Birthday Kitten' from the Crafter's Companion Strawberry Kisses range and I've coloured her with copics. The papers are mainly Lucy Cromwell with a touch of  whatever I found in my craft box! I've used the Whimsy Stamp Banner Die which I have neglected of late in favour of the La La Land banner die because that ones quicker to cut!! The butterfly is one of my birthday present spellbinders :D I'm loving that silky crush ribbon - it's really nice to tie!
Again, this month we have some fabulous sponsors so we have some AWESOME prizes to give away to 3 lucky winners!

$20 voucher
3 digis of the winners choice
 $15 gift voucher

Super hugs (no moaning - just for Kim!) Jayne xx

Citrus Colours over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog.

Oh my! Citrus colours AND bird decoupage. It's hard to describe my feelings about this one, so we'll move swiftly on!!!!
The decoupage is from the Jayne Netley Mayhew Summer decoupage collection which can be found on the Joanna Sheen website. The backing paper is from the Jane Shasky 'Heart of the Garden' CD which is still my all time favourite!

I'm sure you'll make a much better job of the challenge than I did this week! Have fun playing - there's a £15 Sheenie voucher up for grabs for the lucky winner.

Hugest of hugs and hope that you're surviving this weather, Jayne xx

Happy Birthday over at Lili's Little Fairies

This is a super quick post as I'm super tired and I just need to flake out on the sofa (I'm writing this on Wednesday evening btw!)

Over at the Fairies this week we'd like to see you make a birthday card - easy peasy! This challenge may have been inspired by the fact that it is a certain woodland creatures birthday on the 16th. She's not told me how many candles will be on the cake this year though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took the opportunity to use my new (naughty girl, been spending again!) decorative circle spellbinder nesties. Super yum,!

The image is an LOTV cute square (I'm too uncomfortable to sit and colour - it makes my legs swell even more - super yuck) and the sentiments are also from LOTV. The papers are from a Crafter's Companion CD - again I'm sure they're from a SWALK disc. I've used that LaLa Land banner die again because I just can't help myself!

Up for grabs this week is a gorgeous paper pad!
Thank you for stopping by - it makes my day! Hope very much that you get the chance to join us over at the Fairies this week. Big hugs, Jayne xx

Baby Girl . . . .

I made this card for a friend who has recently had a baby girl. Last night my daughter said that I had to ask the midwife if our baby was a boy or a girl. 'I don't like surprises' she said, and continued, ' well, I like happy surprises just not sad surprises'. Hmmm, I asked what a 'sad surprise' was. The answer 'a baby boy'!!!!!! No pressure there then.

I used this Crafter's Companion 'Humphrey's Corner' stamp - not sure if I've ever used it before and I've had it ages. Naughty girl!

The papers were from my stash - printed from a Crafter's Companion CD (pretty sure they're from the SWALK collection). The sentiment is LOTV and the flowers are from WOC. I've used that La La Land banner die again - it's so delicious! I've also used the Grand Decorative ovals from Spellbinders again, I just love these yummy dies.
I hate to say it, but I am soooooooooo not loving this weather. My legs and feet are so swollen I can't get my shoes on, my bump hurts all the time and the baby is busting some crazy moves and my daughter is covered in a heat rash :(  I'm more of a Spring/Autumn kinda gal!!! However, I hope that you're enjoying the sunshine!!

Thank you for visiting me - it always makes my day that you do.  Biggest of hugs, Jayne xxxxx
