Making a start on Christmas!

Oh my, I am going to be in a real pickle come December if I don't step up my Christmas card making. I have made less than 10. Hmm, possibly not even 5. Shocking. I have a Hunkydory whopper of a kit waiting for me to get cracking but I am exhausted and it just isn't happening. Someone please motivate me ;-)

I made this card with the Polar Pals collection of papers from NitWit Collections. I absolutely love the scrummy aqua and red together - get that gingham :-)

I am, as usual, a little hazy on the detail - blame the M.E. or the exhaustion brought on by chasing a one year old! I just love life's little quirks.

The sentiment is definitely from a Dreamees CD and the large snowflake is a Spellbinders die - I bought the set at Samuel Taylor's when they were on sale for £10  :-)  Other than that I am hopelessly lost - it looks like a Sugar Nellie image. - Yay for Squirrel!!! You are quite right, this is a Nellie Snellen stamp :)  Cheers hun! Ok, shame on me. I will take notes next time I make a card. I LOVE it when I go to a blog and people have listed what they've used. It's super helpful, and I am jealous of their super organized-ness!!!!!

I am crawling off to bed. We have a lot of homework this weekend - I'm not really in the mood to make a Roman Shield and we sure do have an awful lot of paint splashed around just to make one shield ;-)

Thank you for coming to visit, biggest of hugs, Jayne xxxx

The Great Penguin Challenge 2014!!!!

So, I got a peculiar text from Squirrel this week. In all honesty, I'm pretty used to peculiar texts from my little Woodland friend, but this text was particularly bonkers :)  Anyhoo, I eventually understood that she was suggesting running a penguin themed challenge from her blog which seemed like a genius idea to me! And so The Great Penguin Challenge of 2014 was launched. She has lots of fabulous penguin cards on her blog today so hop on over to admire her handywork :)

This is my offering:
Just how cute are these LOTV penguins?

The papers are from the Festive Trimmings Collection over at NitWit Collections.
I hope that you get the chance to join us in some penguin fun :) Biggest of hugs, Jayne xx

Bling and Sparkle over at Crafty Little Fairies!

It's bling and sparkle over at Crafty Little Fairies this month. :-) What is not to love!!
I just love this stamp from LOTV - I would like a cake just like that!! The papers are from NitWit Collections and are part of the Sweet Preserves collection. They are just super yum.
It was first day back at school for my big girl (now 7). I worried all day but she was fine when I picked her up. The class each got to choose their own target - my daughter chose the following 'to learn how to go round corners on her two wheeler scooter without wobbling'. Awesome.

So, I hope you're having a super week - the nice weather seems to have returned. I hope that you get the chance to join us this month. Hugs, Jayne xxx

Snow Angel

I bought lots of LOTV stamps last month when they were on special offer. It would have been rude not to wouldn't it? This 'James - Snow Angel' is one of my favourites.
The card is a 7" x 7" and the papers are the delish Snow Princess from NitWit Collections.
Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate it! I have lots of stamps and some dies on ebay at the mo if you want to check them out! Huggles, Jayne xx

Sew What over at A Little Bit Crafty!

Here's my Mid way reminder for the Sew What challenge over at A Little Bit Crafty. I've done a little bit of stitching around the image - the only sewing I'm ever likely to do ;-)
The Snow Family stamp from LOTV is one of my favourites and is perfect with this Snow Princess collection of papers from NitWits.  I love this yummy collection of beautiful soft aqua tones with a splash of lilac.
I hope that you get the chance to join us this month - it's a great challenge and can be interpreted in lots of different ways.

Birthday card for a special friend!

I made this card for a special friend who was celebrating a birthday with a nought on the end ;-)
I made it using the Santoro Set Adrift stamp and the matching papers and super yummy cameo. Only a REALLY good friend gets an embellishment like that cameo :) I think the card probably weighed a tonne by the time I stopped putting things on but I was having such a good time!!
I love this stamp - she has such a whistful look about her.

I've just come back from a week on Anglesey and have post holiday blues. If I spoke Welsh I would move there tomorrow - it is just perfect :) Sigh . . . . .

Right, I'm off to do yet more washing!  Thank you for stopping by, I hope you're having a fabulous Summer. Hugs, Jayne xxx
